01 / Open a SoundFont
SF2 · PCM samples
Choose a file or drop it here. It stays on your device. Large libraries need enough browser memory for the source and export.
No SoundFont loaded.
02 / Choose presets
Bank + programAll presets are selected by default. Uncheck any you want to leave out, or clear the selection and choose a smaller set. Preview does not change your selection.
No presets match that filter.
Bank and program values use the SoundFont’s zero-based numbers. Some software displays programs 1–128 instead.
03 / Preview + export
Hear the original SF2 samples, then export your selected presets.
C4 = MIDI 60. The single-note loop uses the note and velocity above.
Use Preview beside any preset.
This preview is a sample audition, with simplified playback. It does not reproduce every envelope, filter, modulation, or stereo behavior. Check the exported instrument in your target sampler.
Export selected presets
ZIP archives store WAV files without compression, so the download size is close to the exported audio. Each archive must stay below 4 GiB and 65,535 files.
Use your export
Unzip the download. Load an exported .sfz in an SFZ-compatible sampler. Keep that file and its matching Samples folder together; the SFZ uses relative sample paths.
Each instrument filename includes its bank, program and preset index, so presets with identical names remain separate. The ZIP also includes a conversion report.
Format support and conversion limits
- The converter reads uncompressed SoundFont 2 PCM samples and exports 16-bit mono WAV files plus SFZ mappings. Compressed SF3 is unsupported. A 24-bit SoundFont’s extra precision is not retained.
- ROM samples refer to audio outside the file and cannot be extracted. Skipped samples and empty presets are reported.
- SoundFont modulators and sampler-specific effects cannot be carried over exactly. Linked stereo channels remain separate mono samples; audition their balance in your sampler.
- Only selected presets are exported. A filter changes which presets you see, while your checked selections remain in the export.
- SFZ players support different opcode sets. Compare key ranges, velocity layers, tuning, loops, and release behavior before using a converted instrument in a project.
